Want To Fit Great In Your Clothes? Discover How With Three Simple Steps

One of the biggest triggers for many of our clients to initially make contact with us, is that they aren’t fitting great in their clothes, which is affecting other areas in their life. It’s very often the catalyst that kickstarts them to meet us for the initial consultation.

When you don’t fit good in your clothes, it tends to have a knock on effect in other areas of your life. Social situations aren’t as fun, you don’t like yourself in photos, and you don’t enjoy clothes shopping anymore. The worst of it, is that your confidence takes a knock and you feel more self-conscious than you used to. This is not good, as a lack in confidence only holds you back.

When we meet our client at this point, they’re frustrated that their wardrobe full of clothes don’t fit them, but they’re determined not to buy a whole new wardrobe, (which is a great mindset to have).

We’ve coached many clients through this problem and find that there’s generally one of three things going on. There’s lots more, but today I’m going to tackle the biggest three.

It’s one of the best feeling is in the world to watch a client get terrific results, and watch their confidence soar as a result.

Not doing the RIGHT type of training

When you’re in your twenties, you walk, you do a Zumba class and you lose weight easily. It’s not so easy as you get older and there’s a simple reason behind this.

Your muscle mass decreases and your metabolism slows down, so what used to work for you, stops working. When we start the program with a client, they’re so frustrated, because they often find that they’ve had to become obsessed with what they eat, in order to stop gaining weight.

The good news is, this is all really easily fixed, with the right type of training. Resistance training combined with interval training skyrockets your metabolism, blasts fat, increases bone density and lean muscle mass, and more! This is the exact type of training we’ve been doing with our clients for twelve years now,

You’ll never, ever find a gym machine at our studio. Do the right type of training, you’ll fit great in your clothes, and you don’t have to be so super careful with the food.

Mid-week sugar and alcohol

You’re chasing your tail if you think you can do this, and get results. I’ve trained many women, myself included, who’s tried this! Eating well, drinking water, working out, doesn’t cancel the packet of biscuits you eat at night time. This is the road to frustration. You can’t do both.

Our clients take off the weekend, and can do this because they’re doing the right type of training, but you spin your wheels when it flows into the week.

Eating too many carbohydrates

Carbohydrates are brilliant and you need them for energy, and lots more. We’re very against fad diets, cutting out food groups, and calories counting at Inspire Fitness. You need all food groups to be healthy. On saying this, many people tend to way over-eat on carbohydrates, and eat them at every meal. A really good rule of thumb is to eat them at most meals, but cut them out for your last meal, eating protein and lots of vegetables instead.

I hope this helps, remember for every problem, there is normally a simple solution. You just need to cut through the noise, and break it all down.
